You make your own deal and your own reservations. This will cut the price of your hotel by about half. You both register for the hotel room and you are both responsible for the cost.</div> <div> For more information, please contact: </div> <bR> <div> Char Holte </div> <div> 17308 W Observatory Rd</div> <div> New Berlin WI 53146</div> <div> or</div> <div> <A HREF="mailto:cholte@wi.rr.com" TARGET="_top" TITLE="mailto:cholte@wi.rr.com"><U>cholte@wi.rr.com</U></A></div> <bR> <div> In April 2007 our hosts at the A.I.S. convention in Oklahoma City demonstrated to all of us their pride in their city and their state.  We Texans are mighty proud, too.  Oklahoma is a center of Indian culture, but we have several Indian tribes as well.  Our state’s name comes from the Tejas Indians, and “Tejas” means “friendship.”  We are the “Friendship State.”  The longtime motto of our highway department is “Drive friendly,” which is a lot nicer than that other one, “Don’t mess with Texas,” which really means “Don’t litter our highways.” </div> <div>  </div> <div> Besides an appreciation of irises, the American Iris Society promotes fellowship and friendship.  We are already friends, so drive friendly and come and join us in Austin in April 2008.
